We’re in the Radio! (Part 2)

It’s been a while, but if you recall, Cengiz (Turkey/Azerbaijan), Munya (Zimbabwe), Sakib (Bangladesh) and me had the incredible opportunity to be interviewed by Hong Kongs biggest public broadcasting organisation, currently operating seven radio channels. We gave an interview for Radio Television Hong Kong’s “Teen Times” about Initiative for Peace. You can read the original blog post about our experience at RTHK here. Well, our interview finally aired and even if you are not from Hong Kong, you can listen to it by clicking the link below:

RTHK Teen Times – Initative for Peace Interview with Alyson

A little summary about our work for IFP: Founded 8 years ago, IFP aims to spread knowledge about conflict management and resolution to various local and international communities. Each and every member of IFP undergoes theoretical as well as practical training on Conflict Management (read about my training here), empowering them with the tools necessary to facilitate day camps and conferences for a practical application of knowledge on conflict management.  In May this year, we gave scholarships to participants from the Philippines to come for a one week conference, in which we shared our knowledge about conflict management and resolution with them. Our goal was to expand their knowledge on this topic so that the can go back home with the skills that will help them to make a difference and spread peace in their local community. More details about how this conference went and why we invted participants from the Philippines will follow soon 😉
