Study hard! End-of-year exams!

Exams are approaching! I have a hard time believing that Year 1 at LPC is almost over, but as always said, time flies… time flies… Tomorrow, firstyears will take their  end-of year exam (for secondyears it’s the final IB Exam!) , with a full week of examinations following after that.

The library is more crowded than it has ever been and the little joke about “moving to the library” that we used to crack has become reality! It’s a quite interesting time of the year.  Campus is quiet… it seems empty, and students are not walking around or socializing on the infamous bench in front of the Academic Block or by the poolside. Instead, the library and computer rooms are filled with pyramids of books, students and lots of cups of coffee. “Celebration of differences” also becomes applicable here, as all of us have quite different – and interesting – study habits and study spots, ranging from listening to nature sounds while sitting on the floor of the library, writing notes on whiteboards and erasing them to building a wall of books and folders or covering the walls of bathroom stalls in sticky notes! Creativity has no limits, especially not in this period of time!

Now, all of that being said, I will not be blogging until the exams are over in order to fully focus on studying… though I have to admit, that writing blogposts is much more enjoyable and it is for sure very tempting to share all my crazy “study-adventures” in the library with you. During my time off WordPress, I want to leave you with a little something to watch, our LPC 2014 LipDup (can you spot me?)!

Gayau (good luck in Cantonese)to everyone, first-years, it’s only, the end of year exam, secondyears, you will do great! Keep it up! As Mario Andretti said: “Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek” or quoted by Thomas Edison: “If we did all the things we are capable of, we would astonish ourselves.”

Now back to studying!
